The updated version of the highest performing semi-wide angle lens - the APO-LANTHAR 35mm F2 Aspherical for the full-size (Nikon FX format) mirrorless cameras is here. Designed based on the legendary Sony E mount version of lenses that rules the highest performance of all prime lenses in the history of Voigtländer. The apochromat design makes the on-axis chromatic aberration as close to zero as possible, realizing exceptional optical performance.     Designed exclusively for the Nikon Z mount
    Equipped with an optical system optimized for the image sensor of mirrorless cameras that use the Nikon Z mount, this lens has a full-size image circle and can be used with both full-size (Nikon FX format) mirrorless cameras and APS-C size (Nikon DX format) mirrorless cameras.

     

    Apochromatic Design
    In addition to thoroughly eliminating various aberrations including axial chromatic aberration, we also pursue the ultimate in resolution and contrast reproduction.

     

    Optical glass and mechanical components deliver high performance
    The lens consists of 11 elements in 9 groups, including five elements of anomalous partial dispersion glass and two double-sided aspherical lenses, and is also equipped with a floating mechanism.

     

    Electronic contacts for communication with the body
    The lens mount is equipped with electronic contacts, enabling electrical communication between the lens and the body. The combination of an electrical communication-enabled body and the latest firmware *1 enables Exif information, in-body image stabilization (3-axis), and three types of focusing support functions (focusing by changing the focus point frame color, focusing by peaking, and focusing by magnifying the image).

     

    12-blade aperture for enjoying bokeh effects
    The 12-blade aperture has a special circular shape not only at the maximum aperture of F2, but also at F2.8 and F5.6, making it possible to create images that make the most of the "ball bokeh" effect of point light sources.

     

    Manual focus for precise focus control
    The all-metal helicoid unit is machined and adjusted with high precision, and the use of high-quality grease that produces just the right amount of torque makes focusing feel smooth and allows for subtle focus adjustments.
