This is an art lens where we have used cutting edge partial dispersion glass technology to suppress chromatic aberrations and ensuring high resolution, whilst also purposely retaining some spherical aberration for that rich creamy bokeh. This is a very clever design which allows the lens to be very very compact and light weight for its focal length & speed. The matt black barrel finish is Multi-coated if you fancy flare free images in strong light, or Single Coated for glorious low light / B&W contrasts. The optical system consists of 7 elements in 5 groups, and 3 of them use anomalous partial dispersion glass to ensure high image quality. Optimized image balance. This is a medium-telephoto lens with a compact style that maintains the clarity of the image plane while producing a rich and moist bokeh effect in out-of-focus areas.

 

Compact style

With a simple structure that extends the entire lens, the total length of 54.1 mm is as compact as a standard lens. In addition to excellent portability, vignetting of the shooting frame when using an optical rangefinder is also suppressed.

 

Two types of coating to choose from

There are two types of lens coating: multi (MC) and single (SC). As for the exterior finish, the MC has a matte black paint with a modern impression, and the SC has a classical black paint finish.

 

The shortest shooting distance is 0.5m

Rangefinder interlocking It is possible to focus up to 0.5m beyond the shortest shooting distance of 0.7m. It is possible to get close to the subject by using the live view function of the rangefinder-linked digital camera.

 

Dedicated hood included

It comes with a dedicated screw-in hood and a cover-type hood cap made of aluminum material with the same color paint finish as the exterior.

 

Manual focus for reliable focus operation

The use of an all-metal helicoid unit that has been processed and adjusted with high precision and high-quality grease that produces just the right amount of torque enables focusing with a smooth operating feel. It enables fine focus adjustment.

 

Equipped with a rangefinder interlocking system

The high-precision rangefinder interlocking mechanism enables severe focusing near the maximum aperture.

 

Full size image circle

A generous image circle has been secured for 35mm full-frame format. In addition, it has a very compact style compared to interchangeable lenses for single-lens reflex cameras.
